Lab Technician III or IV

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to conduct quality analysis of water as part of a team for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished by analyzing samples according to established laboratory procedures; evaluating the treatment of chemicals to verify material quality; assisting with analytical needs of special projects; calibrating, verifying, and troubleshooting instrumentation; entering daily analytical and operational data into spreadsheets, databases, and regulatory reports; and assisting the Deputy Quality Assurance Officer and/or the Lab Manager in developing standard operating procedures for assigned analyses. Other responsibilities include gathering samples from various BRA locations; collecting, receiving, and shipping samples; completing analyses; performing required equipment maintenance; and any other duties as assigned.
