POSITION SUMMARY:   

Position entails testing the product for its intended use and make sure it performs up to the product’s specifications. This position works with development teams engineers, materials engineers, electronics and productions.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:  

Receives direct supervision from the Quality Control Supervisor and/or Senior Management.  May request assistance of departmental clerical personnel in the performance of clerical duties; however, does not exercise supervision over any position.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Must understand functionality of hi and mid fidelity simulators
  • Must follow testing protocols and make accurate annotations to appropriate forms
  • Must understand and comply with preset pass/fail criteria for inspections
  • Must be able to use basic medical equipment and measurement devices for the purpose of testing simulators
  • Must be able to interact with and manipulate simulator controls via proprietary software
  • Must document and file test reports and findings
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Production, Management and other members of the QA team
  • Must be able to independently assess test results per pass/fail criteria 
  • Perform related duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:  

  • AS in technical field or 3+ years of quality inspection experience
  • Simulation inspection experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English; bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Ability to use basic measurement devices
  • Capability of learning basic medical device use such as: BP cuff, stethoscope, BVM, etc.
  • Ability to lift or move weight up to 30 lbs
  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays.
