The IT Analyst is responsible for evaluating, troubleshooting, and analyzing computer-related activities and issues. This position will help determine the IT needs of our organization and is responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization’s information systems requirements. The position will be responsible for basic to mid-level computer and network systems, user administration, telecommunications systems, and other electronic support systems related to the company operations. The IT Analyst performs critical support tasks, ensuring that certain IT functionality is available, performing properly and effectively as expected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine uptime levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
•Maintain essential IT operations, including but not limited to, user administration, desktop operating systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
•Work with key stakeholders across the organization to assist in developing proactive solutions
•Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops and manufacturing equipment
•Monitor network and data security tools
•Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
•Running and sharing regular operation system reports such as ticket counts, SLA and TAT
•Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
•Help analyze department needs and identify vulnerabilities to help boost productivity, efficiency, inform business decisions and continuously improve the organization.
•Be an active participant in disaster recovery procedures and maintain data backups.
•Maintain inventory of equipment configuration, build standards and OS levels
•Help to effectively communicate technical standards, policies, and procedures to end-user community
•Perform other related duties, as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL Best Practices (Foundations certification preferred)
• 5+ years of technical and troubleshooting experience working Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems is required
• Strong understanding of computer hardware support.
• Basic understanding of storage technologies
• Basic understanding of enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.)
• Basic understanding of Information Security tools (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, McAfee ePO, others).
• Experience documenting IT processes and standards
• Working knowledge of Information Security Frameworks preferred (NIST, PCI, CMMC)
• Certifications such as A+, Network + or Security + preferred
