The City of Waco’s Cameron Park Zoo seeks a Maintenance Worker with at least one year semi-skilled experience to help maintain Zoo grounds and buildings. If you are a team player and meet these qualifications, apply now!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required for Maintenance Worker:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year experience in construction work of a semi-skilled nature
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

Required for Senior Maintenance Worker:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three years’ plumbing, roof repair, building maintenance trade or related experience
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

Maintenance Worker: Under basic supervision, performs maintenance of grounds and repairs of buildings, fixtures, structures, and equipment in private, public, and animal-populated areas of the City Zoo.

Senior Maintenance Worker: Under basic supervision, repairs and maintains plumbing systems, maintains all light to medium roofing repairs, maintains and installs lighting fixtures for buildings and facilities at the City Zoo, serves as irrigation specialist, welding specialist, and/or arbor specialist.
