Minimum Qualifications: Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Business, or a related field.
• Two years’ administrative experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Additional technical certifications in public health are preferred and may be required.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
Preferred:
• WIC day-to-day clinic operations
• Bilingual Skills
Position Description:
Under basic supervision, provides nutrition counseling, education, and assessment for clients of the Public Health District (PHD); supervises and trains clinic staff. Provides direct client care for PHD clients; provides nutrition education and outreach programs and works with the community to increase public awareness of proper nutrition; provides information, counseling, and case management according to program guidelines; monitors clinic operations and reviews patient files. Supervises staff, assigns duties, monitors operations, and reviews the work of assigned staff to ensure the efficient and timely accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities.
