Then the Waco-McLennan County Library wants you to join its team. We are searching for someone who is passionate about providing excellent library services to the community and excited about new challenges. The ideal candidate will be flexible, friendly, self-motivated, and ready to contribute to the library’s success
• Bachelor’s degree
• Two years of library experience
• Supervisory experience
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

• An MLS from an ALA-accredited program


• Primary responsibilities include selecting materials, overseeing material budgets, monitoring the database and the accuracy of library records, analyzing and interpreting library data, and responding to internal and external suggestions for the collections.

• Works with the management team to build and maintain library collections that support community needs and interests.

• The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of library principles and best practices as applied to collection development.
