Under basic supervision, provides for the health and welfare of exotic and native animals in the City Zoo through diet preparation and feeding, enclosure maintenance, behavioral observation and training, enrichment and health care maintenance and treatment.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

 

• Associates Degree in Zoology, Biological Sciences, or related field

• 1 year animal care work experience

• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License

 

Preferred:

• Experience working with Komodo dragons, non-venomous and venomous reptiles in a zoological setting
