POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Inspector 1 is responsible for testing the product to ensure it performs according to the product’s specifications and intended use. This position collaborates with development teams, including engineers, materials engineers, electronics, and production.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

Receives direct supervision from the Quality Control Supervisor and/or Senior Management.  May request assistance of departmental clerical personnel in the performance of clerical duties; however, does not exercise supervision over any position. This position is located in Waco, TX.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must understand functionality of Lo and Mid fidelity simulators.
Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.
Ensuring product compliance.
Document and report inspection findings and results.
Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
Understand, evaluate, and execute tests and procedures properly and investigate the product modifications.
Maintain and set up documentation and control procedures.
Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma required; 2 year College preferred.
Basic computer skills in programs such as MS Word & Excel
Possess 1 year experience in a manufacturing plant or medical lab department.
Ability to work with limited supervision and extended hours.
Ability to work as a part of a team.
Organizational and detail-oriented skills
Capability of learning basic medical device use such as: BP cuff, stethoscope, BVM, etc.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to communicate (read and write) effectively in a business environment.
Ability to think logically and follow procedures and instructions.
The ability to respond to common inquiries relating to the areas assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use his fingers.
The employee frequently is required to talk and/or hear.
The employee is continuously required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities in order to and analyze product(s).
Ability to prepare a variety of reports.
Ability to exercise independent judgment within established systems and procedures.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from departmental managers or subdivisions regarding product testing.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM must be willing and able to work some Saturdays or stay beyond scheduled shift if needed to meet business demands.
