GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To clean and maintain buildings; to provide general custodial services; and to perform related work as required at various buildings across campus. Receives immediate supervision from the Custodial Services Supervisor and exercises no supervision.
REGULAR WORK HOURS: Monday through Thursday work hours 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
and Fridays 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Experience: No experience is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Special consideration will be given to those with custodial experience.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Knowledge of: 1.) Function of assigned buildings that is required to perform duties. 2.) Commercial custodial operations and equipment. 3.) Custodial duties and college mission. Skills in: 4.) Techniques for cleaning campus buildings. 5.) Operating the proper equipment/tools needed to efficiently complete duties properly (such as vacuums, auto scrubbers, buffers, and hand tools.) Ability to: 6.) Comprehend and communicate in English successfully to perform the required tasks in daily assignments. 7.) Utilize required technology for position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exertive-Significant exertion on a daily basis. Awkward positions and sustained activities require strength. Frequent moderate lifting is required. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
