GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Enters, coordinates, maintains, and manipulates donor database to provide in-depth reports, targeted mailing lists, and importing/exporting of information.  Provides administrative support for the operations of the MCC Foundation; assists Foundation Executive Director with donor correspondence and donation acknowledgement. Supports Foundation fundraising events. Provides assistance to students, faculty, staff, donors, and community members who engage with the Foundation. This position receives general direction from the Executive Director of the MCC Foundation and exercises some supervision.

NOTE:  This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: More than one year of professional, relevant work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Professional experience working with nonprofit organizations.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Knowledge of: 1. Microsoft Office Suite, Ellucian Colleague, and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge (preferred). 2. Office procedures, word processing, spreadsheet and administrative software. 3. Business letter writing and report preparation. 4. Record keeping and accounting procedures. 5. College policies and procedures. 6. Basic principles of fundraising methods. Skills in: 7. Excellent phone etiquette, in-person customer service, and email writing. 8. Effective oral and written communications. 9. Building relationships. 10. Solving problems. 11. Attention to detail. 12. Office management and organization. 13. Budget preparation and tracking. 14. Database software administration. 15. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. 16. Data-driven decision making. 17. Effectively prioritizing and completing tasks in a timely manner. Ability to: 18. Use good judgment and reason to deal with sensitive donor and student information. 19. Set expectations of using software and allowing empowerment of the user to solve future issues. 20. Perform high level administrative support for all Foundation activities. 21. Establish and maintain good relationships with donors, faculty, staff, students and the general public. 22. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. 23. Analyze information and make informed decisions. 24. Show empathy for students and donors.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting.  At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
