GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to manage all online systems and develop/implement McLennan’s information security program including procedures and policies designed to protect and audit digital assets from internal and external threats. This position receives general direction from the Chief Information & Technology Officer and exercises some supervision. NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in an Information Technology field. Experience: More than five years of work experience in an IT environment. NOTE: A CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA certification may be substituted for two years of work experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: More than five years in an IT environment and three of those years in a cybersecurity environment. SELECTION CRITERIA: Knowledge of: 1. Web technologies. 2. System administration (vmware, data ontap). 3. Various programming languages. 4. Database administration. 5. Networking. 6. Ethical hacking, penetration testing, intrusion prevention, incident response, computer forensics, and reverse engineering. Skills in: 7. Multi-tasking and organization. 8. Effective communication, both orally and in writing. 9. Research and critical thinking. 10. Problem solving. Ability to: 11. Operate in a multifaceted environment. 12. Investigate and research with efficiency. 13. Maintain confidentiality. 14. Perform well under pressure. 15. Read and understand code. 16. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. 17. Determine security risks. WORKING CONDITIONS: Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort. BENEFITS: Health Insurance, retirement plan, sick leave, vacation, holidays.
