Establishes connection between service agencies and students in need, including food insecurity, homelessness, mental health, transportation, and childcare.   Collaborates with agency representatives to provide training for students for improved self-sufficiency.  This position receives general direction from the Project Director of Student Resources and exercises no supervision. NOTE:  This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: More than one year of professional work experience.


Experience: Two more years of professional work experience in education or with underserved populations.

Knowledge of: 1. Local, state, and federal community-based resources. 2. Needed framework to assist in accessing resources for student success. 3. Systems that influence poverty and homelessness. 4. Systems that influence poverty and homelessness. Skills in: 5. Multitasking, organization, and recordkeeping. 6. Communication and networking. 7. Counseling students about available resources via community partners. 8. Team development and participation. 9. Promoting and enhancing diversity, inclusion, and equity. Ability to: 10. Teach students about available resources, including SNAP, TANF, WIC, etc. 11. Communicate and connect with diverse and underserved populations. 12. Collaborate with faculty and staff regarding providing resources for students. 13. Stay current in reference to emerging resources and new technology necessary for assisting students. 14. Aid students effectively in one-on-one meetings regarding needs impacting student success. 15. Building campus-based programming for connecting students and resources.


Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting.  At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.


Health Insurance, retirement plan, sick leave, vacation, holidays.  Eligible employees and dependents may take college courses tuition free.  Participation in Medicare Part A, but not Social Security (FICA).
