Class A CDL Driver
We are hiring a Class A CDL Driver. The job description is:
DRIVER-Experience
CDL – Class A with air brakes, minimum 1 year experience
We prefer drivers to have been licensed (does not matter what type) for nine (9) or more years, and have at least two (2) years of experience driving either Bobtail or Tractor/Trailer.
Tractor/Trailer rig- flat bed. Operate Air Brakes, Standard Shift-10 Speed, and Manual transmissions.
Ability to back up tractor trailers into the Warehouse
Most driving routes will be in Texas and will bring the driver back home every night. It is very rare that a driver has to spend the night.
Employee will need to be very flexible on their hours (start times and quitting times). This is rarely an 8-5 job and can range from 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. depending on the day and where they are sent).
Clear driving record
Hold valid Medical Card
Non-Smoker
Recent drug and alcohol test, along with physical.
Well Presentable
Needs to be physically fit.
Ability to operate a Forklift is a plus.
Individual will have to learn steel sizes and be able to check his loads in and out (read a ruler, read a micrometer)
Know steel gauges converted to decimals (charts will be furnished), etc.
