Senior Associate Accountant

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple cash accounts including review, track, and reconcile daily cash activities.
  • Identify and prepare general journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Administer monthly distributions and oversee corresponding account terminations.
  • Review monthly cash requirements for accuracy.
  • Responsible for reviewing and posting to general ledger. Identify problems and assist in resolution.
  • Assist with month end close and financial statement preparation ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, which includes quantifying and explaining variances. Assist in the resolution of variances.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with department policy and procedures.
  • Prepare reports and schedules for annual tax filings.
  • Preparation of other reporting requirements as needed.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of successful/related work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of standard accounting procedures.
  • Able to meet deadlines and accurately complete tasks within an ever-changing environment.
  • Experience in protecting sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage numerous tasks and to raise issues proactively.
